As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, our skin becomes drier in the winter months. We all know the feeling of being blasted by a gust of icy wind when you first open your front door in the morning and the harsh weather takes its toll on your skin.
Our lips are no stranger to the damage harsh weather conditions cause. And let’s face it, cracked, chapped are never a good look. Like the rest of our skin, our lips are often neglected and we think a bit of Vaseline will do. The problem is, petroleum jelly is used to retain moisture that is already in the skin. Often we need to use something that will actually penetrate the layers of the skin to provide the hydration we are looking for.
